• About Me

Jeffrey Maddox is now employed with BMO Capital Markets in Houston, Texas, as an investment banking director, a job he has held since 2019. Maddox joined the organization as a vice president in 2017. He also joined BMO in May 2021 as a member of the SPAC Advisory Practice, having previously worked in the energy business. A special purpose acquisition company is referred to as a SPAC, and concentrating only on SPAC transactions is a subset of investment banking. Maddox's years of expertise positioned him uniquely to serve BMO in this role.

BMO Capital Markets is a globally renowned and respected supplier of financial services. The corporation began in Canada almost 200 years ago and is currently based in Toronto under the auspices of the Bank of Montreal. BMO Capital Markets has offices in a number of key cities in the United States and throughout the world to support its corporate and investment banking, as well as research and advisory, activities.

Maddox's knowledge gained at BMO Capital Markets and in other jobs resulted in his promotion to director of the SPAC Advisory Practice. Maddox works with target firms on the sell-side and SPACs on the buy-side in SPAC Advisory. This involves keeping an open line of communication with the management teams of SPACs and their sponsors.

Since 2017, Jeffrey Maddox has been at BMO Capital Markets. He worked as vice president for two years before being promoted to director in December 2019, a post he continues to occupy with the additional duties associated with the transfer to SPAC Advisory.

He previously advanced from an associate to a vice-president position at Barclays Investment Bank. He also worked with Clarkson Capital Markets in the Houston region for two years as an associate. He concentrated on the marine and energy services specialty of investment banking in this position. Additional careers after graduation included stints as an analyst and associate mostly focused on sell-side investment at GulfStar Group in Houston and as an audit associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a worldwide network of businesses offering audit, advice, and tax services.
